At the invitation of An Indonesia company, Professor Huang from Qingdao University Of Technology and Dr. Liang longqiang from Qingdao Shamu Advanced Material Co., Ltd went to Indonesia for an 8 days QTG(Qtech Training Group) training. This is the first overseas training since the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020 to the end of early 2023, as well as the 21st QTG training.
The sewage treatment plant is located in Manado City, northeast of Sulawesi Island, Indonesia, located in the tropical Marine climate near the equator, with high temperature, high humidity, high salt spray, strong UV radiation. For a long time, it has been plagued by serious corrosion and aging factors, which makes it difficult for normal anti-corrosion coatings to cope with such a harsh use environment, and the Indonesia side ordered Qtech-406 heavy anti-corrosion materials from Qingdao Shamu Advanced Materials Co., LTD in 2022.
Due to the plague of the Covid-19, they could not go to the construction site for technical guidance, and Indonesian engineers and technicians encountered many problems in several projects using spray polyurea technology, and many times sought solutions through online means. Both parties agreed to arrange QTG on-site training according to the specific project progress.
Through the on-site teaching, case analysis, operation demonstration, problem solving, practical experience and extensive teaching experience and means accumulated by QTG , QTG solved the problems that had been perplexing them for a long time, successfully completed the training task, and enabled the Indonesia students to quickly improve their understanding for the spray polyurea technology, highly valued by the company in Indonesia.
During the QTG Training, the Chinese personnel overcame many difficulties such as hot climate, language barrier, difference diet and difficult conditions, went to the front line to find out the cause of the accident, quickly came up with solutions, showed superb professional and persistent dedication, and won the trust of the Indonesia personnel present, they was like: we need to actively learn from China’s valuable experience in promoting polyurea technology, and actively introduce Qtech technolgoy that has withstood the test of outdoor exposure for more than 20 years to Indonesia, so that Prof. Huang’s concept of “One time construction, one hundred year of maintenance free” bear fruit in Indonesia.
