Due to insufficient chemical activity, the pseudopolyurea must be doped with a catalyst to be used normally.

The addition of the catalyst increases the reactivity of the NCO component with water, and thus is easier to foam, and also causes a series of negative effects such as system instability and aging.

After the accelerated polymerization is completed, the catalyst will remain in the formed polymer material for a long time.

The resulting material is subjected to the inducing factors of erosion, deterioration of sunlight, oxygen, water and various corrosive media, thereby generating free radicals and causing molecular chain breakage.

The performance of the material is degraded, which ultimately leads to a decrease in aging resistance and a service life of less than 1/10 of that of pure polyurea.
